Referred caregivers provide
personal care and daily living services while
implementing the plan of care that is issued by
the client’s doctor or social worker.
We provide weekly and bi-weekly reassessment
information through case management
documentation to all contacts associated with
the client. This information helps determine a
client’s progress and assists with changes in
care as needed.
Services are available a few hours a day, 12
hour, 24 hour, and Live In care.
In Home Assessment
The in home care meeting is at no financial
charge to the family. GoldenCare Co. Inc. will
be introduced to the client and family members.
We will listen to you, answer your questions and
learn about your home care needs. We will ask
questions so we are prepared to provide the
services that are best suited to meet your
immediate and future needs. We will implement
the Plan of Care that has been issued by the
client’s doctor or social worker. A walk through
of the home or current living environment is
completed to address safety issues and
recommendations will be made for safety to
prevent a trip or a fall.
Personal Care Services
Are provided by Nursing Assistants and Home
Health Aides. Caregivers wear non latex gloves
and follow the guidelines for all person to
person contact while performing personal care
services.
Bathing and Showering
Sponge bathing and showers are provided daily or
on a weekly schedule by Trained Nursing
Assistants or Home Health Aides. All measures
for client safety into and out of the shower are
provided by the caregiver. Caregivers are
physically present to assist with preparing for
the sponge bath and shower from beginning to
end. If the client is able to sponge bathe and
shower independently, the caregiver is still
physically present to assist with getting up and
down and in and out of the shower to prevent a
slip or a fall.
Toileting
Caregivers provide assistance with toileting by
physically assisting the client to the bathroom,
assisting with proper hygiene, assisting with
safely getting up and down from the toilet.
Assistance with diapers, pull-up depends, and
scheduled toileting are provided.Back to Top
Dressing and Grooming
Caregivers assist the client with clothing by
selecting appropriate outfits on a daily basis
and dressing the client. If the client is able
to self select their clothing, we provide
assistance with dressing as needed. Assisting
out of day clothes into night clothes is
provided. Grooming; hair comb/brush, shaving,
facial hair tweezed, skin care, maintaining
fingernail length and cleanliness, and makeup
application is provided by reminder or
assistance.
Oral Hygiene
Caregivers assist with denture care; brushing,
soaking, cleaning, and assisting with the
removal and placement of dentures. Caregivers
assist with tooth brushing and reminders to the
client to self brush teeth.
Physical Transfers
Physical Transfers are provided to clients for
transfers needed from bed to chair, walker,
wheelchair, or commode and Physical Transfers
are provided from chair, walker, wheelchair or
commode back to bed.
Self Administered Medication Reminders
Medications are to be prepared into a weekly or
monthly organized system by the client or family
member. A caregiver will remind the client to

Activities of Daily Living Services
Are provided by Nursing Assistants, Home Health
Aides, Companions and Homemakers.
Companionship
Companionship is a very large part of caregiving. Caregivers form relationships and
develop trust with clients and family members.
Caregivers engage in conversation and
participate in activities to promote and
maintain mental and physical fitness. A
caregiver is there to talk with, share a meal
with or to sit outside with. Enjoy the safety
and comfort of knowing that your caregiver
is there for you.
Safety Supervision
Caregivers provide extra assistance at all times
for the client inside and outside of the home or
living environment to prevent a trip and a fall.
Caregivers keep the floors, corners of the home,
and paths of walking free of clutter to ensure a
safe living space. Caregivers physically assist
clients with walking in and out of the home when
needed.
Grocery shopping
Caregivers will go to the grocery store or
pharmacy with or without the client as needed.
Caregivers will also create healthy menus and
balanced meals. Groceries will be organized and
put away.

Meal Preparation
Caregivers will prepare breakfast, lunch,
dinner, and snacks. Each client is served their
meal in a safe environment. Assistance with
eating and meals are monitored by the caregiver
as needed. The dishes will be washed and put
away while the kitchen will be cleaned after
each meal.
Laundry and Light Housekeeping
Caregivers will do the laundry on a daily or
weekly schedule. The bed linens will be washed
and the client’s bed sheets will be changed
weekly or as needed. Caregivers will assist to
help maintain light, general household
cleanliness.
Exercise and Activities
Caregivers will assist the client with walking
inside the home and outside for walks.
Caregivers will engage the client in different
forms of activities that they enjoy. Walks
outside, sitting outside, cross word puzzles,
memory games, cards, bingo, knitting, reading
the newspaper and books, talking with family
members and friends on the telephone, listening
to the radio, and watching TV.
Transportation
GoldenCare Co. Inc. does not provide
Transportation in a client owned vehicle or in a
caregiver owned vehicle. Caregivers provide
assistance with arranging outside forms of
transportation. A caregiver will accompany the
client to and from doctor, barber/beauty
appointments, social gatherings, senior center
activities, restaurants, movies, and general
